National Flag

Introduction

India has a beautiful national flag called the “Tiranga” or “Tricolour”. It is a symbol of our country’s pride, unity, and freedom. Every Indian respect the national flag.

The national flag has three colours: saffron, white, and green. The saffron colour stands for courage and sacrifice. The white colour stands for peace and truth. The green colour stands for prosperity and growth. In the centre of the white band, there is a blue Ashoka Chakra with 24 spokes. The national flag is hoisted on important days like Independence Day and Republic Day. Students salute the flag and sing the national anthem with respect.
